This is an action by a bank against two makers *578of a note. Judgment by default was taken against one of the defendants, and the other answered pleading three defenses. The trial court sustained a general demurrer of the plaintiff to the answer, and the defendant appeals from that ruling.

The first defense was a general denial of all the allegations of the petition except that defendant admitted that he signed the note in question. The second defense was that the note was an accommodation note, that he received no consideration therefor, and…
