*59MEMORANDUM

GORBEY, District Judge.

This case was tried before this court and a jury of seven.1 After seven days of trial, the jury returned a verdict for the defendant. Plaintiff has filed a motion with this court for a new trial.

The trial was complex, lengthy and hard-fought. Plaintiff claimed injuries which were allegedly the result of the negligence and/or defective product of the defendant. The theory of plaintiff’s case was that the engine mounts in the plaintiff’s car, a 1969 Chevrolet Impala, were negligently designed and that the engine mounts were defective and unreasonably dangerous…
