Alexander Hendry, a janitor employed by the Imperial Brass Manufacturing Company, on July 9, 1920, inhaled fumes of sulphuric acid which he was using in cleaning a urinal which it was his duty to clean and his death ensued as a result. Minnie West, his daughter, made application to the Industrial Commission for an award of compensation under the Workmen’s Compensation act, and an award was made to her of $9.83 a week for 208 weeks and eighty-six cents for one week, in accordance with paragraph (c) of section 7, as being fifty per cent dependent upon the earnings of Hendry.
