In the afternoon of October 21, 1920, Robert L. Selser, the minor son of Harry Arthur Selser and of Grace JThlton Selser, was struck by an automobile owned by Gus D. Revol, one of the defendants, and driven by Ralph Landry, the other defendant, who is an employee of Revol.
The child, nine years of age, sustained injuries resulting in his death. This is an action brought by the surviving mother and father of the deceased to recover damages from the defendants individually and in soli*449do in the sum of $30,150 for the death of their son.
