EVERETT, Chief Judge:

A special court-martial with members tried appellant for violating Article 1151, U.S. Naval Regulations, by wrongfully possessing, transferring, and selling five “hits” of a controlled substance on June 1, 1982, and another five “hits” on June 7, 1982, which was contrary to Article 92, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 892.1 2Upon his pleas of not guilty, Vandelinder was acquitted of the offenses that *42allegedly had taken place on June 1, but was convicted of the June 7 crimes.
