This is an appeal from a summary judgment for the United States in an action to quiet the title to a Michigan farm that had been sold for delinquent real estate taxes after becoming subject to a federal income tax lien. Within the five-year period spoken of in Mich. Comp. Laws § 211.73a, the holder of the tax deed had caused right-of-redemption notices to be served on both the delinquent taxpayer, as the last owner in the regular chain of title, and on the United States, as a lienholder.
