This bankruptcy appeal arises out of an adversary proceeding by Calpine Corporation (“Calpine”) and several of its affiliates (collectively, the “Debtors”) against Nevada Power • Company (“Nevada Power”). Debtors moved for an order extending the automatic stay pursuant to section 362 of the Bankruptcy Code (the “Code”) to a civil proceeding pending in the District of Nevada, Nevada Power Company v.
