OPINION

LANCASTER, Justice.

This case comes before us from a pretrial order issued by the Carlton County District Court in the murder trial of respondent, John Steven Martin. The court of appeals affirmed the trial court’s order allowing expert testimony regarding respondent’s susceptibility to coercion while making statements to police. The court of appeals reversed the trial court’s order to exclude the trial testimony given by code-fendants Lester Greenleaf and Andy Leo DeVerney at their joint trial and the trial court’s order denying respondent a bifurcated trial to present a defense of…
