Jesse Jackson was killed on the 1st day of March 1947 when the car he was driving was struck by a passenger train at the Hutchinson Street crossing west of the City of Springfield. His wife, Juanita Jackson, "prosecutes this action for, and on behalf of herself and (their five) minor children" under both the penal and the compensatory sections of the wrongful death statute. Mo.
