Over a thousand plaintiffs, former employees of the defendant, join in one action to recover additional wages each one says is due him from the defendant. The defendant is a domestic corporation; under contract with the United States it was constructing a United States Army Air Base in Cuba. All of the work of the plaintiffs was done in Cuba and the plaintiffs rely upon certain provisions of the Cuban Constitution as the basis for recovery.
