In this case, plaintiff George M. Reider, Jr., Insurance Commissioner of the State of Connecticut (“Commissioner” or “Liquidator”), has brought suit against the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen, LLP (“Andersen”) in his capacity as Liquidator of First Connecticut Life Insurance Company (“First Connecticut”).
