Plaintiff brings an action for conversion by reason of the taking and subsequent sale of eight new automobiles by the defendant upon which the plaintiff had unrecorded conditional-sales contracts and trust receipts for the purchase price thereof. The defendant corporation made a subsequent loan upon the automobiles covered by plaintiff’s conditional-sales contracts. At the conclusion of all the evidence the trial court sustained defendant’s motion for a directed verdict on the theory that the evidence conclusively showed as a matter of law that the defendant was without knowledge or means of…
