This is an action brought to recover damages alleged to have been sustained by the plaintiff, as the successor in interest of William Q. Ranft, by reason of the alleged wrongful sale by defendant Lawrence A. Ramage, as receiver, of property belonging to the Iron Mountain Tunnel Company, hereinafter referred to as the company, which property had theretofore been attached in a suit instituted in the district court of Missoula county on January 13, 1914, by William Q.
