This is an insurance dispute.

Plaintiff Clarendon National Insurance Company funded the defense of, and ultimately paid a settlement in, a civil-rights lawsuit filed against its insureds: the Lucas County, Ohio, Board of Commissioners; James Telb, a former Sheriff of Lucas County; and several former deputy sheriffs.
