This matter is before the court on a petition for writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. Petitioner, an inmate at the United States Disciplinary Barracks, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, claims that: (1) he was denied due process of law because he was convicted of a crime carrying a mandatory life sentence by a two-thirds vote of a seven-member court-martial; (2) the selection, composition, and voting requirements of the court-martial denied him due process of law; (3) he was denied his sixth amendment right to a speedy trial…
