To a suit in the city court of Baxley upon a promissory note for $200, made by the defendant to the plaintiff in 1920, the defendant pleaded certain causes for set-off, arising out of an independent contract made between him and the plaintiff in the year 1921. The court struck the plea containing the items of set-off, and, the case then being in default, gave judgment for the plaintiff, and the defendant excepted.
