Ten different parties brought separate actions in the district court of Bourbon county against Charles W. Johnson, receiver of the Peoples State Bank of Fort Scott, Kan., and the bank itself, to obtain preferred claims on the funds of the insolvent bank in the hands of the receiver. Four of them were for the proceeds of bonds and other securities intrusted to the bank for special purposes, which had been misappropriated and wrongfully disposed of by the bank or its officers without the authority or consent of the owiners, and six of them…
