I. INTRODUCTION
This action is brought under sections 205(g) and 1631(c)(3) of the Social Security Act, codified at 42 U.S.C. §§ 405(g) and 1383(c)(3), seeking judicial review of a final decision of the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration (the “Commissioner”). The plaintiff Mary Coggon (“Coggon”) challenges the decision of the Administrative Law Judge (“hearing officer”) denying her Supplemental Security Income (“SSI”) and Disability Insurance Benefits (“DIB”).
