DENNIS, Justice.

This dispute arose over the possession and ownership of a strip of land abutting an existing highway which the Highway Department sought to widen and improve. Plaintiffs-relators, Alton M. Folse and Frank M. P. Deville, are undisputed owners of two tracts of land situated on or near Louisiana Highway 107 in Pineville, Louisiana. Their property is separated from the highway roadbed by the strip of land in question.
