The respondent, Berthold A. Eeiss, was appointed temporary-receiver of a foreign corporation, the John Good Cordage and *367Machine Company, July -16, 1897, in an action brought by the Northside Bank presumably for sequestration. The order appointing the receiver contains the usual injunction against the maintenance of actions by creditors. The corporation is the owner of certain real estate in Brooklyn, comprising its business and manufacturing plant. The plaintiff is the owner of a bond, secured by a mortgage on a part of this real estate, which mortgage was given by a former…
