SNYDER, Judge.

Employer and insurer appeal from a judgment of the circuit court affirming a final award of the Industrial Commission granting benefits to respondent for total disability and assessing a penalty against appellants for failing to comply with the temporary award as permitted by § 287.510, RSMo 1969.

The major issue presented for determination is the effect of an error by the respondent in the date of the accident as shown on his claim for compensation form received on July 28, 1972. Three allegations of error raised by appellants stem from the dispute concerning the reported date…
