DECISION AND ORDER
MARRERO, District Judge.
Defendant Craig Yokemick (“Yokem-ick”), a New York City police officer, was found liable after a four-day jury trial for each of the claims brought against him by plaintiff Maybell Banks (“Plaintiff’) as Ad-ministratrix of the estate of Kenneth Banks (“Banks”), her deceased son. 1 During pretrial proceedings, Yokemick filed a motion requesting an order to compel the City of New York (“the City”) to represent him in this action and to indemnify him under the terms of New York General Municipal Law (“GML”) § 50-k (2002) in the event he was found liable.…
