This action for damages for personal injury was brought in tbe circuit court of Washington county, and removed on defendant’s application into tbe circuit court of tbe United States for tbe Northern division of tbe Eastern district of Tennessee, upon tbe ground that defendant is a corporation created and organized under tbe laws of tbe state of Virginia, and a citizen of that state, and a nonresident of Tennessee.
