MOORE, Justice.

This is an appeal from an instructed verdict in favor of the defendant in a libel suit.

Plaintiff, Dr. Imogene Mayfield, brought suit against defendant Dr. James E. Gleichert, alleging that Dr. Gleichert, while acting as Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Methodist Hospital in Dallas, made and published certain libelous and slanderous statements against her which resulted in her discharge, removal and expulsion from the staff of the hospital.
