OPINION

SUTIN, Judge.

{1} Cosme V. (Father) appeals from an adjudication of neglect with respect to Johnny V. and Evonne V. (the Children). He raises two issues, contending that the district court erred in denying his motion to dismiss and challenging the sufficiency of the evidence to support the adjudication. We held oral argument pursuant to our expedited bench decision program, but removed the case from that program when it was determined that additional time was needed in order to render a reasoned decision.
