PICKETT, Circuit Judge.
The appellant, Meeker, a resident of New Mexico, brought this action to recover damages for an alleged violation of his civil rights and for the theft and conversion of oil well casing located in Beck-ham County, Oklahoma. Four of the eight defendants were officials of Beck-ham County, one was a practicing attorney in that county, and three were residents of Texas. The complaint was filed on March 9, 1962, and at the same time, plaintiff filed a motion by which he sought to have the case transferred to the Northern District of Texas for trial.
