Majority Opinion

This is an appeal from a judgment rendered in favor of appellee, Earl N. Light-foot Paving Co., Inc., against appellant for $16,536.50, with interest from the date of judgment, plus $6,500.00 as an attorney’s fee, with interest thereon from the date of judgment. The purpose of the suit filed by appellee was to recover for work done and labor and material furnished under a written contract in the laying of pavement in a parking area at the Montclair Shopping Center in Houston and the construction of sidewalks and driveways in connection therewith.
