This case is before the court on defendant’s pretrial chai*784lenge to the procedures that the New York City Police Laboratory employs to determine whether a mixture contains 500 milligrams or more of cocaine. For the reasons set forth below, the court concludes that those procedures are sufficiently reliable to permit the Police Laboratory’s test results to be received into evidence at defendant’s trial.
