WILKINSON, Circuit Judge:
Appellant Isabella Servís brought suit in Virginia state court against several contractors and subcontractors engaged to perform maintenance and repair tasks aboard a United States vessel, the M/V CAPE DIAMOND. Servís alleged that appellees’ negligence resulted in the death of Peter Thomas Humphrey, who was working aboard the vessel.
