OPINION, FINDINGS OF FACT AND CONCLUSIONS OF LAW

EDWARD WEINFELD, District Judge:

This antitrust suit, involving claims and counterclaims for hundreds of millions of dollars among some of the world’s largest oil companies, arises out of events in the Middle East, particularly Libya, in the early 1970’s. Plaintiffs are three brothers: Nelson Bunker Hunt, W.
