This suit in equity is brought by the owner of shares of preferred stock in the defendant railroad corporation (hereafter called the railroad) against the railroad, its directors, and the Boston Railroad Holding Company, the owner of a large number of shares of the common stock as well as of some shares of preferred stock in the railroad.
