The overruling of the motion for a new trial is the only action of the trial court assigned as error. In support of this several reasons are urged, all of which go either to the jurisdiction of the national council over the plaintiff in error, and the offense charged against him, or to the regularity of the proceedings had. We find it more convenient to discuss these matters generally rather than specifically and seriatim.
