At about 4 a. m. on January 5, 1953, plaintiff sustained personal injuries while on duty as a machinist for the defendant at Jones-boro, Arkansas. This action to recover damages for his injuries was brought under the provisions of the Federal Employers’ Liability Act, 45 U.S.C.A. § 51 et seq. A trial resulted in a verdict for plaintiff in the sum of $15,000.
