This is an action under the Injuries Act to recover pecuniary loss occasioned by the death of William Russell, alleged to have resulted from injuries sustained December 23, 1936, when he was struck by the front end of a westbound street car on the west crosswalk of the intersection of 59th and Peoria streets in Chicago. A motion for a directed verdict was made by defendants at the close of plaintiff’s evidence, which was all the evidence offered or received' on the trial.
