Plaintiff, Donald V. Gregory, appeals the district court’s grant of summary judgment in favor of six individual defendants,1 sued individually and in their official capacities, and the University of Tennessee at Memphis. Pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981, 1983, 1985, and 1986, Tenn.Code Ann. § 4-21-101, et seq., and Tenn.Code Ann. § 47-50-109, Gregory claims that his constitutionally recognized property right in continued employment as a police lieutenant in the Office of Security Affairs at the University of Tennessee was violated when he was discharged.
