The defendant, Danbury Hospital (hospital), appeals from the judgment of the trial court, rendered after a jury verdict, in favor of the plaintiffs, Vivian Gagliano and her husband, Philip Gagliano, 1 on their negligence claims against the hospital and its codefendant, Dr. Venkata Bodavula. 2 On appeal, the hospital claims that the trial court erred by failing to grant its motions to set aside the verdict and for judgment notwithstanding the verdict.
