MEMORANDUM OPINION AND JUDGMENT
Each of the three above named plaintiffs filed his action under the Tort Claims Act against the Government of the Virgin Islands and against six named police officers * claiming $175,000.00 punitive and general damages, “jointly and severally against all defendants” to compensate them for beatings allegedly inflicted upon them by several police officers, employees of the Department of Public Safety.
