The plaintiff developed carpal tunnel syndrome in both arms while employed by the defendant. We granted this appeal to determine whether an eight-week leave of absence during which the defendant paid the plaintiff short-term disability benefits unrelated to the carpal tunnel syndrome should be included in the average weekly wage calculation.
