This appeal is from the refusal to open a judgment confessed pursuant to authority contained in defendant’s bond.
On April 15, 1929, appellant delivered its bond to the Commonwealth to enable the Tulpehocken National Bank & Trust Company to comply with the provision of the Administrative Code, 1 requiring state depositories “to furnish a bond to secure payment of deposits and interest to the Commonwealth.” The bond provided that the bank “shall from time to time, on demand of the state treasurer, or other officers hereinbefore mentioned by whom such deposits were…
