delivered the opinion of the court.

Action was brought by plaintiff, as Administrator of the Estate of Geraldine Bernier, his wife, who died as a. result of injuries sustained when the automobile in which she was riding as a guest collided with a guardrail or bridge abutment situated adjacent to the street on which the vehicle was being driven by defendant. At the close of plaintiff’s case, the trial judge directed a verdict in favor of defendant. Motions by plaintiff for judgment notwithstanding the verdict and for a new trial were denied.
