OPINION
SUSANO, Judge.
In this condemnation ease, the City of Johnson City acquired by eminent domain a small strip of land for the purpose of widening and realigning a city street. The condemned land was subject to a leasehold interest1 held by the defendant, Outdoor West, Inc. of Tennessee (Outdoor West). The lease granted Outdoor West space for a billboard, which it rented to various advertisers.
