This is a suit for damages alleged to have resulted from the actions of the defendant, United Mine Workers of America, in inducing Osborne Mining Company to breach its contract with the plaintiff, Love and Amos Coal Company.
The case was tried before Judge Henry F. Todd, in the Third Circuit Court of Davidson County, without a jury and resulted in a judgment for $60,000.00 in favor of plaintiff in the first count of the declaration, and for treble damages under the Tennessee Statutes on the second count, in the total amount of $108,072.00, which awards were not cumulative but,…
