Plaintiff consumer Yvette Vangorden sued defendant debt collector Second Round, Limited Partnership ("Second Round"), for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA"), 15 U.S.C. § 1692 et seq. , by sending her a letter representing that she still owed money on a debt that she had settled five years earlier, and requesting payment of that debt. She now appeals from the June 21, 2017 judgment of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Sandra J.
