Melissa and Adam Williams brought this medical malpractice action against Robert E. Hedican and Ob-Gyn Specialists, P.C. They alleged that the defendants negligently failed to treat Melissa for chicken pox while she was pregnant and as a result her child was bom blind in one eye. In a pretrial ruling, the district court excluded expert testimony on causation from the plaintiffs’ medical expert.
