Plaintiff and other hands were employed by the defendant in August, 1916, to remove some tin from the roof of a shelter, or large lumber shed, at Tillery, N. C., and was instructed by his employer to go upon the top of the shelter and do the work. Plaintiff had no experience in such matters, nor did he know anything about the construction of the shelter, nor was there anything on the roof of it to notify him of any weakness in any part of it, or of any danger in performing the task assigned to him by the plaintiff.
