Wyatt, Justice.

The decision in this case involves the , validity and effect of the judgment of the courts of a sister State. There is no question in this case as to the jurisdiction of the South Carolina court to award the custody of the children here involved, both parties and the children having been within the jurisdiction of that court at the time the award was made.

It is a well-settled rule of law in this State that “A judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction in another State, awarding the custody of a child to a named person, which judgment is regular on its face and unimpeached…
