Alice Griffiths hereinafter called complainant, filed her bill February 25, 1923 in the chancery court in Knox county seeking to recover a certain house and lot on Middlebrook avenue. It appears that the lot in controversy is thirty-seven feet by one hundred feet and it is described minutely. In complainant's bill it was shown that she purchased the lot in controversy, from Frederick Ball and wife Mary Ball, and deeded to her on the 3rd day of January, 1896.
