The real estate sought to be condemned by the DNR in this proceeding has been the subject matter of two previous appeals to this court. Herro v. Wisconsin Federal Surplus Property Develop ment Corp. (1969), 42 Wis. 2d 87, 166 N. W. 2d 433; Herro v. Natural Resources Board (1971), 53 Wis. 2d 157, 192 N. W. 2d 104.
The sole issue in the present action was the determination of the fair market value of the land and interest being condemned.
The land involved was part of the proposed Bong Air Force Base which had been abandoned by the federal government in 1959. At that time the federal government…
