The claimant and appellant in this workmen’s compensation case is the widow of John Petrusko, lately a miner in one of the collieries of the defendant company ; she claimed compensation upon the ground that an accident suffered by her husband in the course of his employment — the sudden effort put forth in alighting from a mine car in which he and other workmen had been transported to their working places in the mine — aggravated a pre-existing hernia with which he was afflicted, caused it to become strangulated, and necessitated an operation which resulted in his…
