In an action to recover damages for medical malpractice and lack of informed consent, the plaintiff appeals from (1) a decision of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Patterson, J.), dated November 1, 1999, *730and (2) so much of an order of the same court, dated October 5, 2000, as granted the motion of the defendant Ambrish P. Mathur, M.D., pursuant to CPLR 4401 for judgment as a matter of law at the close of the plaintiffs evidence and denied the plaintiffs cross motion for leave to enter judgment pursuant to CPLR article 50-A.
